Three Drawer Writing Desk

This is a three drawer Hepplewhite style desk made from solid cherry.  The overall dimensions of the desk are 30” deep x 60” wide x 29.5” tall. The top, aprons and drawer fronts are figured curly cherry, with the top of the desk being constructed as a grain matched two board top. The hardware is reproduction quality Hepplewhite brass knobs selected by the customer. The center drawer features a pull out keyboard shelf behind a false drawer front. The two side drawers feature hand cut dovetail joinery, solid maple sides and a solid poplar bottoms. The desk aprons feature a decorative beaded detail along the bottom edge. All the joinery was traditional mortise and tenon and dovetail construction.  The desk was finished with a natural hand rubbed varnish – waxed and buffed to a satiny sheen. The size and wood selection can be customized to suit your requirements.
