Nine Drawer Chippendale Dresser

This Chippendale dresser was based very closely on a piece built in Winchester Virginia in the late 1700's.  Built with the same details and construction techniques as the original, this piece commands presence in any bedroom setting.  I chose black walnut for this reproduction, but cherry, maple or mahogany would also be very well suited to the design.  Similar highboy, lowboy, or chests of drawers could be done in a variety of styles and designs.  The size, style, wood selection, and coloring can be customized to suit the customer's requirements. The original piece is in the Colonial Williamsburg collection.  Aside from a difference in the height and style of the ogee bracket feet,  I followed the original almost exactly.
