Federal Pedestal Oval Dining Table
This dining table was based on a photo provided by my customer of a smaller federal style pedestal table. The table was has overall dimensions of 72" long x 45" wide x 30” high and is made from tiger maple. The table top is made from a matched four board set with heavy figure. The table design features a top with a racetrack oval profile and a modified bullnose edge profile. The table is supported on a central urn shaped pedestal with four hand shaped legs with fluting along the top surface. The legs are capped with reproduction quality cast brass Lion’s Paw caster feet. The table is stained a light antique maple color and finished with a hand rubbed wiping varnish and waxed to a smooth sheen. The table size, style, wood selection, and coloring can be customized to suit the customer's requirements.

design elements on a larger scale. The table base is constructed with mortise and tenon joinery.
